Paper Monument LA launch party

Hello, LA readers. Our sister magazine, Paper Monument, is hosting a launch party for its third issue in your city this weekend. The issue features Dushko’s Petrovich’s excellent essay on British art world banter, Roger White’s comprehensive history of “total installation,” and Claire Jarvis’s magisterial survey of all six seasons of The Hills. And on the website, you can currently read about the Berlin Biennale, the politics of gallery books, and SoCal melancholy-lite. As for the party, it’s being held from 6 to 8 PM this Saturday at Chinatown shop Ooga Booga (not to be mistaken for the band, video game, or Frederick Seidel collection), with music by DJs SFV Acid and Dunes.  “Bring your friends!” says Paper Monument. They hope to see you there.
