A good time was had by all at the Issue 10 launch party at beautiful Secret Project Robot last Friday night. A good time was also had by all at the Barthes event at the Kitchen, where Richard Howard told Marco Roth about Barthes’s mother. Furthermore, a good time was also had by all at the “Death of Print” event at the New School, where André Schiffrin, the US publisher of Foucault, E. P. Thompson, and E. H. Carr and founder of the New Press told Keith Gessen about Vichy France, American capitalism, and how to save the bookstores. Next up, an Issue 10 reading extravaganza, featuring short readings from all ten issues, at Bookcourt, in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, on December 10.
